Answer» What is Darul Huda Islamic University mean? Darul Huda Islamic University is an Islamic University based at Chemmad in the district of Malappuram, Kerala, India. Darul Huda was a member of the League of Islamic Universities in 2013. Sayed Hyderali Shihab Thangal serves is the Chancellor(self source) and Bahauddeen Muhammed Kooriyad is the Vice-Chancellor. Darul Huda was established in 1986 as an Islamic college, with the name Darul Huda Islamic Academy. Currently, it has affiliated institutes all across Kerala and other states in India including Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Karnataka and Assam. Besides the Malayalam speaking students of Kerala, it also serves Urdu speaking students of north India. According to the Peninsula Qatar, the university has produced hundreds of proficient Islamic scholars aims at empowering the community with scholars versed in Islamic knowledge and modern sciences.
