The Free Funeral Service Society (Yangon) (Burmese: နာရေးကူညီမှုအသင်း, abbreviated FFSS), a civil society organisation based on Yangon, Myanmar, founded by Burmese film director Thukha, provides free funeral services to people from any religion, race and socioeconomic status at no cost in Yangon Region. It was founded on 1 January 2001 by film director Thukha and is headed by many prominent persons in the entertainment industry, including actor Kyaw Thu. FFSS has helped fund around 200,000 funerals since it first started.

In 2006, FFSS opened a free health care clinic called Thukha Clinic. In 2009, its free clinic was ordered by a local court to be closed, after being forcibly relocated from Thingangyun Township to North Dagon Township in Yangon's outlying suburbs. In September 2010, FFSS opened Thukha Ahara (သုခအဟာရ), a low cost restaurant in Yangon's North Dagon Township. In 2011, it opened another clinic in Bago Region's Pyay Township.

It applied for government registration in 2008 but has yet to be approved, as of November 2012.

FFSS has expanded its humanitarian services by operating free Ambulance and Fire Brigade services, providing humanitarian assistance to victims of war and natural disasters, opening Thukha Alin Charity Education centre which runs free vocational classes, computer, sports, arts, English and more classes.

On 8 January 2017, FFSS marked its 16th anniversary by opening a low-cost dialysis centre. Because of the cost of dialysis, FFSS will not be able to extend the services for free, but they will offer them at a much-reduced cost. "Thanks to our donors, we were able to buy new equipment and medicine for dialysis. But the course of treatment is very expensive, so we cannot offer services free of charge. A private clinic would charge K80,000, and we will offer the treatment for K25,000," said U Kyaw Thu.

As part of the response to the 1 February military coup,emergency response teams from the FFSS helped treat injured protesters in attacks by police and military. On the night of 3 March 2021, soldiers and police raided the office of the Free FFSS in Yangon's North Okkalapa Township on Wednesday night. They seized computers, phones, computers and documents from the office and destroyed the rest of the property on the premises. Staff were beaten and injured by the soldiers and police. U Kyaw Thu was not in the offices at the time and has gone into hiding.

Alan Hale and Thomas Bopp discovered Comet Hale–Bopp separately on July 23, 1995, before it became visible to the naked eye. It is difficult to predict the maximum brightness of new comets with any degree of certainty, but Hale–Bopp met and exceeded most predictions when it passed perihelion on April 1, 1997, reaching about magnitude −1.8. It was visible to the naked eye for a record 18 months, twice as long as the Great Comet of 1811, the previous record holder. Accordingly, Hale–Bopp was dubbed the great comet of 1997.

The Institution of Engineers Australia, often shortened to IEAust and/or trading as Engineers Australia (EA), is a professional body and not-for-profit organisation dedicated to being the national forum for the advancement of the engineering field within Australia and a member of Washington Accord. As of 2017, it has around 100,000 members in nine geographic Divisions and five international chapters from all engineering disciplines, including 41,000 Students, 4,400 Engineering Technologists and Engineering Associates, 55,600 Professional Engineers. The members all belong to one or more of nine Colleges covering the different fields of engineering practice. 20,000 members are Chartered Engineers.

Engineers Australia's wholly owns two subsidiaries, Engineering Education Australia and EngInsure. Engineers Australia previously had a publishing subsidiary Engineers Media which published the organisation's main magazine. Engineers Media ceased operations at the end of August 2015 after the magazine "create" was outsourced to a commercial publisher, Mahlab Media.

The organisation began after World War I, following recognition of the need for a single body to represent engineers, rather than the numerous smaller organisations that existed then. The L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University (ENU) (Kazakh: L.N. Gýmilev atyndaǵy Eýrazııa ulttyq ýnıversıteti (EUÝ), Russian: Евразийский национальный университет имени Л.Н. Гумилёва (ЕНУ)), is a Kazakh national research university and largest institution for higher education in Nur-Sultan.

The university was founded on 23 May 1996 as the result of merger of Akmola Civil Engineering Institute and Akmola Pedagogical Institute. It was named L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian University in honour of the idea of the Eurasian Union and Lev Gumilyov, a historian and ethnologist, one of the founders of the Eurasianism concept. Joint Entrance Examination – Advanced (JEE-Advanced), formerly the Indian Institutes of Technology-Joint Entrance Examination (IIT-JEE), is an academic examination held annually in India. It is conducted by one of the seven zonal IITs (IIT Roorkee, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Bombay, IIT Madras, and IIT Guwahati) under the guidance of the Joint Admission Board (JAB). It is the sole prerequisite for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology. Jawaharlal Nehru New College of Engineering or JNNCE is an engineering college situated in Shimoga, Karnataka, India.The college was established in 1980 by the National Education Society. The college is affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum and accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). The riserless research vessel JOIDES Resolution (Joint Oceanographic Institutions for Deep Earth Sampling), often referred to as the JR, is one of the scientific drilling ships used by the International Ocean Discovery Program (IODP), an international, multi-drilling platform research program. The JR was previously the main research ship used during the Ocean Drilling Program (ODP) and was used along with the Japanese drilling vessel Chikyu and other mission-specific drilling platforms throughout the Integrated Ocean Drilling Program.
