Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University (IAU), formerly known as the University of Dammam (UoD), is a university in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. It is one of the oldest universities in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. It is one of the leading universities in medicine for both male and female students. After its separation from King Faisal University, it is now thriving to become one of the best universities in the Kingdom.

Dr. Abdullah Al-Rubaish is its President. It was a previously a part of King Faisal University (now in Al-hasa only).

The new name is Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University, it has been renamed during the visit of King Salman bin Abdelaziz to Dammam November 2016.

The main campus is in the coastal area of Al-Rakah (situated between Dammam and Khobar). Several colleges are scattered around the eastern province (College of Medicine is in the main campus.)

The admissions to this university is based on standardized national exams. Afterwards, students are admitted into tracks based on their grades. In their first year, students compete for majors where the top students are sorted into the colleges of their choice. The medical track is one of the most competitive in the entire university. For example, only the top 140 students would be admitted into the college of medicine, and so on.

In May 2021, Dr. Ebtisam Mohammed Al-Mathal, who is the dean of human resources and a professor of parasitology in the science faculty, was appointed secretary of the board of trustees at the university.

The University of Dundee (Scottish Gaelic: Oilthigh Dhùn Dè [ˈɔlhɪj ɣun ˈtʲeː]; abbreviated as Dund. for post-nominals) is a public research university in Dundee, Scotland. It is a red brick university, founded as a university college in 1881 with a donation from the prominent Baxter family of textile manufacturers. The institution was, for most of its early existence, a constituent college of the University of St Andrews alongside United College and St Mary's College located in the town of St Andrews itself. Following significant expansion, the University of Dundee gained independent university status by royal charter in 1967 while retaining much of its ancient heritage and governance structure.

The Federal University of Bahia (Portuguese: Universidade Federal da Bahia, UFBA) is a public university located mainly in the city of Salvador. It is the largest university in the state of Bahia and one of Brazil's most prestigious educational institutions.

Verbs that take three objects are tritransitive. Not all descriptive grammars recognize tritransitive verbs.

A clause with a prepositional phrase that expresses a meaning similar to that usually expressed by an object may be called pseudo-transitive. For example, the Indonesian sentences Dia masuk sekolah ("He attended school") and Dia masuk ke sekolah ("He went into the school") have the same verb (masuk "enter"), but the first sentence has a direct object while the second has a prepositional phrase in its place. A clause with a direct object plus a prepositional phrase may be called pseudo-ditransitive, as in the Lakhota sentence Haŋpíkčeka kiŋ lená wé-čage ("I made those moccasins for him"). Such constructions are sometimes called complex transitive. The category of complex transitives includes not only prepositional phrases but also dependent clauses, appositives, and other structures. There is some controversy regarding complex transitives and tritransitives; linguists disagree on the nature of the structures.

In contrast to transitive verbs, some verbs take zero objects. Verbs that do not require an object are called intransitive verbs. An example in modern English is the verb to arrive.

Verbs that can be used in an intransitive or transitive way are called ambitransitive verbs. In English, an example is the verb to eat; the sentences You eat (with an intransitive form) and You eat apples (a transitive form that has apples as the object) are both grammatical.

The concept of valency is related to transitivity. The valency of a verb considers all the arguments the verb takes, including both the subject and all of the objects. In contrast to valency, the transitivity of a verb only considers the objects. Subcategorization is roughly synonymous with valency, though they come from different theoretical traditions.

Reading University Boat Club (RUBC, boat code RDU) is the rowing club for the University of Reading. It is based on the River Thames in Reading, Berkshire, United Kingdom. The club has a focus on sculling. It has been consistently one of the more successful university rowing clubs in Britain, including topping the medal table at the BUCS regatta in 2011 and at the BUCS small boats head in 2014 and 2015, as well as wins at Henley Royal Regatta in 1986, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2013, and is considered one of the top six university rowing clubs in the UK. A number of former members have competed at the Olympics, including double gold-medallists James Cracknell and Helen Glover. The club has organised the Reading University Head of the River race since 1935.

The Royal Ulster Academy (RUA) has existed in one form or another since 1879. It started life then, as The Belfast Ramblers' Sketching Club. In 1890 it became The Belfast Art Society; later in 1930 it was changed to "The Ulster Academy of Arts" and Sir John Lavery was elected its first President: finally, in 1950 King George VI conferred the title, The Royal Ulster Academy of Arts, upon the institution.

The organisation invited entries for their 1941 annual show from artists serving in the armed forces, from which twenty entrants were chosen and shown in a special section at the exhibition.

After many years of falling standards at the Annual exhibition Anne Crookshank, Curator of Art at the Ulster Museum, pruned the show down to just thirty-seven works for the 1958 show. By 1970 the organisation was floundering, and no student or avant-garde artist would have been interested in showing with them. When Patric Stevenson took the President's role in 1970 he personally oversaw the stabilisation of its finances and preservation of its records. Standards began to improve after T P Flanagan took the reins in 1978 as he held considerable influence over his students at the Belfast College of Art, in encouraging participation from younger and more adventurous artists. Others such as Raymond Piper, Neil Shawcross, and later Joe McWilliams and Bob Sloan did similarly. During David Evan's Presidency from 1983 to 1993 the Academy's Annual show was held at Queen's University, Belfast before returning to the Ulster Museum under Rowel Friers.

Today the Royal Ulster Academy of Arts (RUA) is a flourishing artists' organization. Many of Ireland's most distinguished artists are exhibiting members of the Academy.

Its Annual Exhibition is the largest, open art exhibition in Northern Ireland, attracting many hundreds of artist entrants from Ireland and elsewhere.

Presidents of the Academy have included Sir John Lavery R.A, Morris Harding, William Conor, Mercy Hunter, T.P. Flanagan, Joe McWilliams and Rita Duffy. The present president is Betty Brown PRUA. The Université du Québec à Chicoutimi (UQAC) is a branch of the Université du Québec network founded in 1969 and based in the Chicoutimi borough of Saguenay, Quebec, Canada.
