Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Narayan National Institute of Criminology & Forensic Science or commonly known as National Institute of Criminology & Forensic Science (NICFS) is a central institute for teaching criminology and forensic science in New Delhi, India. The institute was established by Government of India in 1972 within the Bureau of Police Research and Development following recommendations of the University Grants Commission (UGC).

The institute was formerly known as "Institute of Criminology and Forensic Science" and came into existence on 4 January 1972. The institute has trained around 41,000 officers from Police, Judiciary, Prisons, Prosecution, Defence, Customs, Forest, Medical, Public Sector Undertakings, Nationalized Banks as well as Scientists from Central and State Forensic Science Laboratories. It was renamed after Indian independence activist Jayaprakash Narayan in 2003.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is India's counter-terrorist task force. The agency is empowered to deal with terror related crimes across states without special permission from the states. The Agency came into existence with the enactment of the National Investigation Agency Act 2008 by the Parliament of India on 31 December 2008, which was passed after the deadly 26/11 terror attack in Mumbai. Such an attack revealed the failure of intelligence and ability to track such activities by existing agencies in India, hence the government of India realized the need of a specific body to deal with terror related activities in India, thereby establishing the NIA. Headquartered in New Delhi, the NIA has branches in Hyderabad, Guwahati, Kochi, Lucknow, Mumbai, Kolkata, Raipur and Jammu. It maintains the NIA Most Wanted list.

The founding Director-General of NIA was Radha Vinod Raju, and he served until 31 January 2010. He was succeeded by Sharad Chandra Sinha until March 2013. Navneet Rajan Wasan held full charge of DG until July 2013. In July 2013, Sharad Kumar was appointed as the Chief of National Investigation Agency. In 2017, Y. C. Modi was named as Chief of NIA in September. He was succeeded by Kuldiep Singh in June 2021.

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA) is the civil service training institution in India. The institute trains Indian Police Service (IPS) officers before they are sent to their respective state cadres to carry out their duties. The academy is in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.

The Central Police Canteen (commonly abbreviated as the CPC), officially known as the Kendriya Police Kalyan Bhandar (transl. Central Police Welfare Stores), is a retail chain in India serving the active and retired personnel of the Central Armed Police Forces, the Central Police Organisations, and different state police forces and their families. Established on 26 September 2006 by an order of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the CPC works as an independent department under the Ministry. There are 119 master canteens and over 1,778 subsidiary canteens in the CPC system. Headed by an additional director general-rank officer, who is appointed by the Home Ministry on a rotation basis from the six CAPFs, the CPC is headquartered at Rama Krishna Puram, New Delhi. The routine affairs related to it are handled by its Chief Executive Officer, who is a deputy inspector general-rank officer.

The products available at the CPC subsidiary canteens are not tax-exempt as they are in the Canteen Stores Department of the Ministry of Defence, and many petitions to the government have been made by different central and state organisations to extend such tax rebates to the CPC.

The CPC is in the process of promoting indigenous products following the call for Atmanirbhar Bharat by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
