The National Youth Summit, subtitled "Young People: Partners in Fulfilling the Promise," occurred June 22 through June 25, 2000 in Orlando, Florida. Coordinated by the Corporation for National Service, America's Promise and the Points of Light Foundation, the event drew approximately 1,200 youth and adults. The Summit was a follow-up to the "White House Conference on Teenagers: Raising Responsible and Resourceful Youth" held May 2, 2000. National Youth Service may refer to:

Global Youth Service Day (GYSD), originally launched and known as National Youth Service Day in the United States, is a coordinated annual event which voluntary gathers young people around the world in conducting community service, service learning, and youth voice activities that benefit their communities, their countries, and the world. Activities are organized in more than 100 countries each April to help mark the celebrations, and engage millions, making it the largest annual celebration of young volunteers.

In 2020, the event will be April 17-19. Coordinated by Youth Service America together with a coalition of organizations, GYSD's primary sponsor is State Farm with contributing sponsorship from Disney and the Inter-American Development Bank. More than 2,000 youth organizations around the world participate each year. New York Voices is a jazz vocal group that was founded in 1987 by Peter Eldridge, Caprice Fox, Sara Krieger, Darmon Meader, and Kim Nazarian. All except Krieger were members of an alumni group from Ithaca College that toured Europe in 1986. They began performing as the New York Voices in 1988 and issued their debut album the following year. Sara Krieger left in 1992 and was replaced by Lauren Kinhan. New York Community Hospital is a hospital in Brooklyn, NY that was founded in 1929 by two brothers, both doctors. Oak Mountain High School is a four-year public high school in the northern Shelby County suburbs of Birmingham, Alabama. It is part of Shelby County School Schools.

Oakland Mills High School was established in 1973 as one of the first high schools to serve the planned developed new U.S. town of Columbia, Maryland area, established by James Rouse and his Rouse Company in 1967 in Howard County, midway between Baltimore and Washington, D.C.. The Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA) is the Ohio state-level affiliate of MENC: The National Association for Music Education. Of the 52 federated state affiliates of MENC, the OMEA is the third largest and is one of only two state-level affiliate chartered as a "music education association" rather than a "music educators association."

The OMEA was founded in 1924 in as the Ohio School Band Association (OSBA) by fourteen band directors "to promote high school band contests" in Ohio. In 1929, the OSBA changed its name to the Ohio School Band and Orchestra Association (OSBOA) to reflect its newly expanded emphasis including school orchestras. In 1932, all aspects of music education were brought in, forming the OMEA. The Myanmar Development Resource Institute (Burmese: မြန်မာ့ဖွံ့ဖြိုး တိုးတက်ရေး အရင်းအမြစ် အဖွဲ့အစည်း, abbreviated MDRI) is an independent think tank and economic and social policy research organization based in Yangon, Myanmar. MDRI consists of 3 specialized centers, namely the Centre for Economic and Social Development (CESD), Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) and the Centre for Legal Affairs.

MRDI was initially proposed by Burmese economist U Myint in May 2011, in a paper entitled “Reducing Poverty in Myanmar: The Way Forward,” to combat poverty. The Institute was then founded the following year, by U Myint and other advisors to President Thein Sein.
