The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC) was created in 1937 to construct, finance, operate, and maintain the Pennsylvania Turnpike. The commission consists of five members. Four members are appointed by the Governor of Pennsylvania, while the fifth member is the Pennsylvania Secretary of Transportation.

In addition to the Pennsylvania Turnpike, the commission also operates the James E. Ross Highway, Amos K. Hutchinson Bypass, Mon/Fayette Expressway and Pittsburgh's Southern Beltway, the latter two of which are currently under construction.

The PTC is the only transportation agency in Pennsylvania that is not part of PennDOT, though it does coordinate with PennDOT on road design procedures and guidelines. As of February 2021, Mark Compton is the CEO.

The Public Transport Council (abbreviation: PTC) is an independent regulatory statutory board under the Ministry of Transport of the Singapore Government established on 14 August 1987 by the Public Transport Council Act of 1987.

PTC regulates the public bus and rapid transit network in areas such as fares and service standards. PTC is also authorised to issue and do amendments to bus service licences, and advises the Ministry of Transport on areas such as conditions on licensees and imposing of penalties on non-complying licensees.

As announced by Transport Minister Khaw Boon Wan, PTC will no longer be issuing penalties and fines despite multiple major breakdowns on the MRT system: "If you ask me, my preference is not to go back to this old system of penalties and fines because it created a very adversarial relationship between the regulator and the operator". It is not known how the PTC is going to maintain service standards without imposing any penalties.

The council is led by a chairman, currently Mr Richard Magnus, who was formerly a board director of the Land Transport Authority; and currently the representative of Singapore to the ASEAN Inter-Governmental Commission on Human Rights, vice-chairman of UNESCO's International Bioethics Committee and a member of the Public Service Commission.

Police Training Centres (PTC) in Bangladesh were initially established in 1972 as Zonal Police Training Schools (ZPTS) to impart training mainly to Trainee Recruit Constables (TRC) of Bangladesh Police. With the course of time for meeting up the need of recruiting and training huge constables and different level officers as well as staffs, those schools were not found sufficiently equipped. So it became the demand of the time to upgrade those training institutes. On this backdrop, the facilities and capacities of those schools were further developed in 1992. They were upgraded as Police Training Centers. Those training centers are training a lot more like- Armed Police Battalion, Staffs, the Security Personnel of Forest Division, Boatmen, Gardeners, Laskars, Head Constables etc. in addition to impart training to only fresh recruit constables.

However, from the inception up to 1992 Police Training Schools were commanded by the respective Superintendent of Police of the district where they were located. In public key infrastructure, a validation authority (VA) is an entity that provides a service used to verify the validity of a digital certificate per the mechanisms described in the X.509 standard and RFC 5280 (page 69).

The dominant method used for this purpose is to host a certificate revocation list for download via the HTTP or LDAP protocols. To reduce the amount of network traffic required for certificate validation, the OCSP protocol may be used instead.

While a validation authority is capable of responding to a network-based request for a CRL, it lacks the ability to issue or revoke certificates. It must be continuously updated with current CRL information from a certificate authority which issued the certificates contained within the CRL.

While this is a potentially labor-intensive process, the use of a dedicated validation authority allows for dynamic validation of certificates issued by an offline root certificate authority. While the root CA itself will be unavailable to network traffic, certificates issued by it can always be verified via the validation authority and the protocols mentioned above.

The ongoing administrative overhead of maintaining the CRLs hosted by the validation authority is typically minimal, as it is uncommon for root CAs to issue (or revoke) large numbers of certificates.
