The United Kingdom's Institute of Heraldic and Genealogical Studies (IHGS) was founded in 1961 at Canterbury, Kent (its current location) by Cecil Humphery-Smith. Its library was created by donations from Humphery-Smith, Aylmer Buesst and others.

The Institute promotes research, study, and training in all aspects of family history, including heraldry. Courses may be undertaken by full-time students, through a series of evening classes combined with other studies, or by a correspondence course. Those who complete approved courses may sit the diploma examination after submitting adequate evidence of practical experience. Those who hold the diploma and produce an acceptable dissertation or thesis can qualify as Licentiates of the Institute, or LHG. Students, armorists, genealogists and family historians are able to make use of the extensive collection of books and manuscripts in the Institute's library.

The International Humanitarian Fact-Finding Commission (IHFFC) is an international body that is available to perform investigations of possible breaches of international humanitarian law. The Commission may investigate matters to determine what has happened, but does not pass judgment on issues it raises. In its report on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the creation of the agency, IHFFC noted that its services have not yet been exercised.

IHFFC was established in 1991 and has its basis in the First Optional Protocol to the Geneva Conventions, agreed in 1977. The Commission consists of fifteen experts. The Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs carries out the secretariat functions. IHFFC is headquartered in Bern. 71 states have joined the body.

The organization has the status of a permanent observer in the UN General Assembly.

On 7 October 2015, Médecins Sans Frontières called for activating the Commission, for the first time since its creation, to investigate the deadly U.S. bombing of MSF's hospital in Kunduz, Afghanistan. MSF says it does not trust internal military inquiries into the bombing that killed at least 22 people, which it considers a war crime.

The Federation of International Sports Table Football (FISTF) is the governing body for all Sports table football worldwide. FISTF was the result of negotiations between FISA (Federation of International Subbuteo Associations, founded 1979) members and E(S)TF (European (Sport) Table Football Federation, founded 1963) to unify sports table football/soccer associations within one governing body. FISTF was founded in 1992 and in September 1993 the first official European Championships were played in Belgium. The sport is now well administered worldwide by (FISTF).

The sport is known as Sports table football and based on the table top game of Subbuteo and Newfooty. The Competitions are now organised under FISTF with strict organisation rules listed in the FISTF handbook. COVID-19 spread: Due to the wide virus spread in Italy, FISTF and FISCT with the organising committee have decided to postpone the World Cup 2020 to 2022. A date shall be named as soon as it may be possible. Several events from February to December 2020 had to be postponed or cancelled, as the Virus spread from China to Japan, Singapore and within February to Europe, march in America and Africa. Many host clubs have cancelled FISTF tournaments.

The next edition of the Confederation Asia Cup will be in Japan, 2021.The upcoming edition of the Confederation of North America Championship/Cup will be in Lansing, Michigan (USA) in late 2021.

The European Renewable Energy Council (EREC) was founded in 2000 by the European renewable energy industry, trade and research associations. EREC is located in the Renewable Energy House in Brussels, a monument protected building with 100% renewable energy supply for heating and cooling.

The Institute for Justice & Democracy in Haiti (IJDH) is a non-profit organization based in Boston, Massachusetts, USA that seeks to accompany the people of Haiti in their non-violent struggle for the consolidation of constitutional democracy, justice and human rights. A fire marshal or fire commissioner, in the United States and Canada, is often a member of a state, provincial or territorial government, but may be part of a building department or a separate department altogether. Fire marshals' duties vary but usually include fire code enforcement or investigating fires for origin and cause. Fire marshals may be sworn law-enforcement officers and are often experienced firefighters. In larger cities with substantially developed fire departments the local fire departments are sometimes delegated some of the duties of the fire marshal.

A fire marshal's duties vary by location. Fire marshals may carry a weapon, wear a badge, wear a uniform or plain clothes, can drive marked or unmarked cars, and make arrests pertaining to arson and related offenses, or, in other localities, may have duties entirely separate from law enforcement, including building- and fire-code-related inspections. In many areas, the fire marshal is responsible for enforcing laws concerning flammable materials.

Field marshal (or field-marshal, abbreviated as FM) is the most senior military rank, ordinarily senior to the general officer ranks. Usually it is the highest rank in an army and as such few persons are appointed to it. It is considered as a five-star rank (OF-10) in modern-day armed forces in many countries. Promotion to the rank of field marshal in many countries historically required extraordinary military achievement by a general (a wartime victory). However, the rank has also been used as a divisional command rank and also as a brigade command rank. The Future Movement (Arabic: تيار المستقبل‎) is a Lebanese political party affiliated with the Sunni sect. Founded in 2007, the party is led by Saad Hariri.
