ISRO Full Form

The full form of ISRO is Indian Space Research Organization. It is the space agency of the Government of India established in 1969 for the research and development of vehicles and activities for the exploration of space within and outside of Earth’s atmosphere. Its headquarter is located in the city of Bengaluru. Its vision is to “harness space technology for national development while pursuing space science research and planetary exploration”. ISRO sent a lunar orbiter, Chandrayaan-1, on 22 October 2008, which discovered lunar water in the form of ice. ISRO has developed two rockets: the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) for launching satellites into polar orbits and the Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV) for placing satellites in geostationary orbits.

ED: Enforcement Directorate

The full form of ED is Enforcement Directorate. ED is a specialized financial investigation agency under the Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance, Government of India, headquartered in New Delhi. There are five regional offices at Mumbai, Chennai, Chandigarh, Kolkata and Delhi.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is a law enforcement agency and economic intelligence agency in India to enforce economic laws and fight economic matters. It is headed by the Director of Enforcement. It is composed of officers of the Indian Revenue Service, Indian Corporate Law Service, Indian Police Service and the Indian Administrative Service. ED has Regional Offices ie Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Kochi, Delhi, Panaji, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jalandhar, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Patna and Srinagar. • The Directorate of Enforcement was established on May 01, 1956, when an ‘Enforcement Unit’ under the control of the Department of Economic Affairs was established under the Foreign Exchange Regulation Act, 1947 (FERA, 1947) to prevent violation of exchange control laws.

NGO: Non-Governmental Organization

The full form of NGO is Non-Governmental Organization. NGO is an organization that is neither a part of the government nor a traditional for-profit business. They are typically nonprofit entities, and many of them are active in humanitarianism or the social sciences; they were created to solve problems related to senior citizens, childrens, poor people, environment etc.

Generally, it is setup by common people, citizens. The common source of revenue for running an NGO is donations. It can be funded by governments (state and central government), businesses etc. It can be organized at community based, city level, national level or international level.

The full form of NTPC is National Thermal Power Corporation. It is an Indian public sector company, engaged in power generation and related activities. It was set up to accelerate the power generation in the country. NTPC is the largest power generating company in India. NTPC was ranked 400th among the 2000 largest companies in the world in 2016. LIC Full Form

The full form of LIC is Life Insurance Corporation of India. It is a public sector company in India primarily dealing with life insurance products and investment schemes. It was established in 1956 when the Parliament of India passed India Life Insurance Act. The act merged and nationalized approximately 245 private insurance companies and provident societies to form the Life Insurance Corporation (LIC). ONGC: Oil and Natural Gas Corporation

The full form of ONGC is Oil and Natural Gas Corporation. ONGC is an Indian state-owned multinational company based in Dehradun, Uttaranchal (Uttrakhand). The full form OPEC is “Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries“. It is a group consisting of 14 of the world’s major oil-exporting nations. The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) is a permanent, intergovernmental Organization, created at the Baghdad Conference on September 10–14, 1960, by Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Venezuela. It is a state-owned telecommunications service provider primarily in the metro cities of India; Mumbai and Delhi including the adjoining cities like Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurgaon, Faridabad, etc. MTNL is present in Nepal through its joint venture United Telecom Limited (UTL) and in Mauritius through its subsidiary Mahanagar Telephone Mauritius Limited (MTML). Its motto is “Transparency makes us different”. It was founded on 1 April 1986, as of April 2020, Sunil Kumar is the Chairman & MD of MTNL. It is regulated by TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India).

Its main task is to develop standards for the transmission of data through infrared light waves. Infrared light is used to transfer data from one device to another without using a cable or other connecting means. You just need to customize these devices with IrDA ports. BIS: Bureau of Indian Standards

The full form of BIS is Bureau of Indian Standards. BIS came into existence on 1 April 1987 by an act of parliament dated 26 November 1986. It is the successor of the Indian Standard Institution (ISI). It is the national Standards Body of India engaged in the preparation and implementation of standards, operation of certification schemes, organization and management of testing laboratories, creating consumer awareness and maintaining a close relationship with international standards bodies. The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) is a right-wing all India student organisation affiliated to the Hindu nationalist Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
