Answer» CCD: Café Coffee DayThe full form of CCD is Cafe Coffee Day. It is a chain of coffee shops in India. It is a subsidiary of Coffee Day Enterprises Limited. Coffee Day serves 1.8 billion cups of coffee annually in six countries. It is the largest producer of arabica beans in Asia, which exports to various countries including the US, Europe and Japan. Founder of CCDV.G. Siddharth started the cafe series in 1993 and served as its chairman and managing director (MD). On 29 July 2019, Siddharth went missing, and his body was found two days later on the banks of the Netravati River. A letter, written by Siddharth addressing the board of directors and employees, was made public in which he takes the responsibility of not creating a profitable business model. Brief historyThe first CCD outlet was established on 11 July 1996 on Brigade Road in Bangalore, the capital of Karnataka. It quickly spread to other cities in India, as of 2018, the company had 1,722 café outlets in over 200 cities in India.
