BA: Bachelor of Arts

The full form of BA is Bachelor of Art. BA is an undergraduate degree program in the field of Arts. This course is basically opted by the students who aspire to pursue arts after passing the 12th class examination. The duration of this course is usually three years which may vary depending on the features and components of the field of study.

The eligibility criteria for the BA course specify that candidates should have completed 10+2 from a recognized board. Apart from this, some colleges have also specified that candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate marks at their class 12 level to be eligible to pursue the BA course offered by them. Some colleges also allow 5% marks relaxation in this criterion for SC/ ST candidates.

After completing BA course, candidates can pursue MA course in the same course (in which they have done graduation). Candidates who want to make their career as a teacher can opt for BEd course after completing their BA degree.
