The full form of ERP is “Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)“. ERP is usually referred to as a category of business management software — typically a suite of integrated application that an organization can use to collect, store, manage, and interpret data from many business activities. Many ERP software applications are important to companies because they help them implement resource planning by integrating all of the processes needed to run their companies with a single system. An ERP software system can also integrate planning, purchasing inventory, sales, marketing, finance, human resources, and more. ERP is an acronym for Enterprise Resource Planning, but even its full name doesn’t shed much light on what ERP is or what it does.
