Answer» LOC: Line of ControlThe full form of LOC is “Line of Control“. The Line of Control (LoC) refers to the military control line between the Indian and Pakistani controlled parts of the former princely state of Jammu and Kashmir. LOC is a border between India and Pakistan which does not constitute a legally recognized international boundary, but serves as the de facto border. It is originally known as the Cease-fire Line, it was redesignated as the “Line of Control” following the Simla Agreement, which was signed on 3 July 1972. LOC is a 740 km long military control line or border which separates the Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) from the state of Jammu and Kashmir, India. The line is mostly covered with heavy coils of pointed wire; a kind of fence put in place by the Indian army. The line is guarded by the check posts of Indian army in the Indian side of the LOC and by Pakistani check-posts in the Pakistani side of the LOC. Other Full Forms of LOC
